Are they preparing for entry into a particular clinical setting or to move on to a next phase in the program? Perhaps the case should be used for assessment.
Are you trying to improve decision making skills? A branched scenario could be used, or problem based learning in groups
Do you want to improve procedural knowledge? A linear case using the Peyton method may be useful.
Do you want to improve metacognition & reflective skills? Cases can be used to drive discussion and provoke reflection.
Do you want to improve interpersonal skills? A case can be used to "set the stage" for a role play activity
